Nelt Takes Over Distribution of Elephant Snacks in Albania

Nelt expands its FMCG portfolio in Albania by taking over distribution and brand development of the internationally recognised Elephant snack brand.

Nelt Group has been appointed the new principal for the Elephant snack brand in Albania, following a partnership with Alka Group RO. Under the agreement, Nelt will lead market positioning, distribution expansion and long-term brand development for Elephant across the Albanian market.

Elephant is an internationally recognised snack brand, best known for its innovative take on pretzels, strong visual identity and consistent product quality. The move strengthens Nelt’s FMCG portfolio in Albania, adding a differentiated, consumer-driven brand with clear growth ambitions.

“Partnering with Alka Group represents an important step in the further development of our FMCG portfolio in Albania,” said Alban Ujkashej, Executive Director of Nelt for the Albanian market. “The Elephant brand fits perfectly into our strategy of introducing strong, differentiated and consumer-relevant brands. Combining Nelt’s local presence with Alka’s innovation will create additional value for customers, consumers and the market.”

From Alka Group’s side, the focus is firmly on scale and brand recognition. “This partnership marks an important strategic step for us,” said Marius Gaman, Business Development Director at Alka Group. “We chose Nelt because of its strong local expertise, reliable infrastructure and shared ambition for long-term growth. With Nelt’s support, we are confident that Elephant – Master of Incredible Snacks can become an iconic brand in Albania within the next two years.”

The agreement further underlines Nelt Group’s regional strategy of long-term growth, operational excellence and systematic expansion of its FMCG portfolio across Southeast Europe, with Albania positioned as a key growth market.
