Akrapovič Revs Up Partnership with Ferrari for Hypercar Racing

Akrapovič has secured a multi-year technical partnership with Ferrari to support its Hypercar team in the FIA World Endurance Championship

Akrapovič, the esteemed Slovenian exhaust system manufacturer, has entered into a significant multi-year agreement with Italian automotive giant Ferrari.

This partnership positions Akrapovič as a technical collaborator for the Ferrari Hypercar team, which is competing in the prestigious FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). This collaboration will commence with the Ferrari 499P, a four-wheel-drive, hybrid-engine prototype that is a contender in the championship’s top tier.

The partnership was announced as the WEC season gears up to start at Italy’s Imola circuit, with additional races scheduled across Belgium, France, Brazil, the US, Japan, and culminating in Bahrain in November. Akrapovič’s CEO, Davorin Dobočnik, expressed pride in the alliance, highlighting the racetrack as an “ideal laboratory” for developing advanced technological solutions in motorsport.

With a history of supporting 175 world champions in various racing categories, Akrapovič’s expertise is set to enhance the performance of two Ferrari 499P cars throughout the 2024 season. The collaboration not only underscores Akrapovič’s pivotal role in motorsport innovation but also marks a significant step in its global expansion in automotive partnerships.
